The 11th Forum of Jacque-Dalcroze Society of Japan

“Conducting workshop” - Magical stick experience that pulls at the heart -

Date: March 2 (Sun), 2014 10: 00-12: 00
Place: Kugayama Kindergarten Hall
Lecturer: Yuichi Takubo

The 11th Forum of Jacque-Dalcroze Society of Japan was held with Yuichi Takubo, who flies around the country as a conductor and as a commanding leader.
Unfortunately, it was a cold day with rain, but the venue was filled with enthusiasm, passionate energy and humorous guidance that attracted the participants to Takubo.
Everything taught was equivalent to eurhythmics education, and we felt the importance of learning music from many different fields.

Part 1 2012 Dalcroze License Exam Excellent Work Presentation
* Yuka Ichikawa, Yoko Suzuki, Yoshie Nakajo, Shigeko Kobashi
Part 2 "Voice Training" Miyuki Katayama
For the first time, we made the forum a two-part format, presenting excellent piano performed and “Plastique animée” of the 2012 Dalcroze License Exam, and welcomed Miyuki Katayama in part 2 for a workshop on "Voice Training".
The presentation of part 1 was enough to impress the audience with the high level of the work, as well as the immersive live performance and expression that took place in front of us.
In part 2, Katayama, who is active as a choir instructor and conductor, taught.
It was titled "Voice Training", but the teacher's unique and very easy-to-understand analogies (e.g., emphasis on the buttocks, pulling up the zipper on jeans, etc.) made it a very meaningful session where you could learn about the relationship between body movement and voice without feeling as if you are training at all.

The 9th Forum of Jacque-Dalcroze Society of Japan

"Body Conditioning Workshop"

Date: April 22(Sun),2012 14: 00-16: 00
Place: Kugayama Kindergarten
Lecturer: Yumi Fujita

The first forum, which started in the 5th was led by Yumi Fujita, who has been teaching body conditioning and bodymaking from dance, sports, and martial arts experts to the general public, as well as his own butoh activities.
We were taught body conditioning that allows us to adjust our body to create better relationships, relieve stiffness and distortion, and adjust my posture.
The way the teacher talked, and the development of the lesson was really gentle and accurate, and despite the short lesson, We understood the change in the body from the inside and the outside.
Participants commented that their bodies relaxed, their bodies became lighter, their blood flow was better, and both their minds and their bodies were at ease and comfortable.
